Version 3.0 of Karl Fisch’s popular youtube video about accelerating change was released earlier this month.  This video is an entertaining and eye opening glimpse into the major technological and demographic changes that are happening in the world right now.  One of my favorite quotes: “India has more honors kids than America has kids”.  See below:

Information is rising globally ,exponentially – soon geometrically. We can’t keep up with the speed and growth of info with current ways and tools of learning and/or experiencing.
We need to go quantum. We need to take in info in broad ,more efficient, strokes- instead of the old world ,piece meal approach. Our species needs to evolve our thought processing and the way we take in and compute the world around us.
Perhaps bio-tech that can give us access to 4-D experience in order to take in and learn multiple threads at once. Or even expand on knowledge of good old shamanic practices and utilize them in modern, efficient ways to access multi-level, conscious thinking-which is clearly what it is.
One way or another our thinking and experience needs to change and expand in order to work with -or at all- the steadily and quickly rising onslaught of info. Indeed ,it is a necessity in order for us to evolve and TRULY enter the 21st century; outside of 20th century ideas of what that means which are lightning fast becoming seriously outdated.

    >die within a 100 year life span.

That’s a recent development, it used to only be Kings and the like that made it past 65. 90% of everyone who has ever lived past the age of 70 is alive today.

    Yes,
I agree with what you’re saying kzee, but the video focused more on technology rather than religion or the advances of the human body. But who knows, in a few years, our 100 year life span can be changed to a 200 year life span thanks to advancements in both science and medicine. As for “the Web has become a religion itself, giving explanations to everything,” I agree to a certain extent. To the average student, like myself, the internet holds more information than any individual can grasp. There is not one topic that a person cannot find on the internet. But to call it a religion seems a bit extreme.
Anyhow, I can’t wait to see what the world has to show us in the coming years. Very excited for the LHC…

Yet, thousands of years afterwards we still eat, sleep, pee, crap, have sex, give birth, sick, die within a 100 year life span. And the Web has become a religion itself, giving explanations to everything.
