Sure, 3.5 billion is a lot over their 1 billion budget, and 120 million in operating costs is huge, but YOU JUST INVESTED 50 billion in GM, and 180 billion in AIG. I'd love to see what these minds can build and do with 30...40..500 billion dollars. If experts from around the world can conclude that controlled nuclear fusion is possible, why not give them a blank check and some freedom to work. The trick isn't to get controlled fusion to happen, but to get more energy out than you put in.
