Wednesday, Jun 08, 2008

In 2008 I was standing out in my yard in Zebulon, NC.
I took a deep breathe and felt something hit the inside of my mouth.
It went straight to my throat.
I could feel it circle my throat completely
and start down my throat circling the complete throat area.
It proceeded down my throat toward my stomach area. I could feel it.
When it hit my mouth it felt like one item but when it started down my throat
it felt like hundreds of tiny objects in unison descending into my throat
and downward into my body.
I think I had been hit with a self replicating nano bot
as that is what it felt like to me.
The sensation passed with in a few minutes as it made its way into my insides
I stood there stunned waiting to see if I would fall or feel sick or ???
Nothing else happened and I went on about my Business.
I think my body was invaded by a nano bot that replicated itself immediately
and proceeded to take over my body. WHY?????????????????????.

I'm all for robotics and body 2.0, but this is just too creepy:

"allowing it to burrow from blood vessels into organs."

Judging from the pic, it's between 3 and 5 mm long, but photos do lie so well.

ViRob may not be squirming through a lung near me anytime soon, but within ten years? I mean, this stuff was still laughably sci-fi in the 80s and 90s.

And hey, just because this guy has grippers doesn't mean the nanobot of tomorrow wont be an agglomeration of these nanoparticles and macrophages working in coordination to perform what we would see as 'robotic' tasks, while adhering and functioning via chemical means or whatever. After all, it was only a few days ago we saw the swarmbots.... swarmparticles will come, oh yes.

Is it just me or does this sound like the PR department of an evil scientist's lab? These things could easily be placed in a host and then told by remote to burrow their way out of the host's body with their "miniature camera, tongs, or blades."
