One of the worse things for 2.4 Ghz wifi networks are baby monitors, intercom systems, and other handy wireless devices that operate in that range. If it is not anything you own then it is a neighbor’s device or somewhere else.

Good to know, Rod. As you mentioned, there are firmware updates on the WowWee site and more seem to come out regularly. Let us know if things improve or get worse.

I bought a Rovio a few months ago. The idea was to be able to visit my wife while I was away. Unfortunately, the Rovio is a case of great hardware ruined by terrible software. It is barely usable over WAN out of the box (average 10 second lag on the video stream). After you upgrade the firmware it gets a little better but it crashes every couple of days, rendering the robot inaccessible until manually reset.
