		<description>I had an uncle that had AMD. He would have been amazed that this technology even existed. I think the future for this sort of surgery is, quite literally, looking good.</description>

This story reminds me to Vernor Vinge’s novel “Rainbows End” which describes smart contact lens technology for augmented reality. As attested by a recent Reuters story that technology is also underway…
