What happen if we augment a big ape intellect to a point where it’s one step closer to a human, I mean it’s already a problem to use big ape like Bonobo for experiment .

Bonobos are capable of passing the mirror-recognition test for self-awareness. some Bonobo have a vocabulary of more than 500 English word using a lexigrams keyboard and have the comprehension of around 3,000 spoken English words.

Primatologists says that Bonobo are often capable of altruism, compassion, empathy, kindness, patience, and sensitivity.

I mean at some point will have to give them human rights if we enhance their intelligence even more.
