SH Membership Update – Christine Peterson, Peter Norvig, Barry Ptolemy and More!
If you’re only reading Singularity Hub, you’re only getting half the experience. The last month has been a breakout time for our organization with the start of our new Membership Program. What makes our membership so special? Well in the past few weeks we’ve had exclusive Google Hangouts with noted science journalist Carl Zimmer, longevity author Sonia Arrison, William Pedoe-Tunstall creator of the AI assistant Evi, and Barry Ptolemy, director of Transcendent Man. And we’re just getting started! This Monday morning we’re talking with Christine Peterson, co-founder of the Foresight Institute, and noted advocate for both nanotechnology and life extension. Next week we’ll be hanging out with the founders of Science Exchange. We’ll also be hanging out with Peter Norvig, Director of Research at Google, and one of the professors that recently taught a virtual class of tens of thousands of students at Stanford. In fact, we’re going to keep bringing our members great opportunities to talk with global leaders in science and technology. And that’s just part of what Singularity Hub members receive!
As many of you already know, SH Members not only get access to Google Hangouts with the VIPs of futurism, they also join a community shaped by their fellow members. Finding like-minded people interested in exponential technology and science is as easy as emailing the SH-Members list. It’s a growing web of conversation on all the accelerating trends that will shape the world of tomorrow. Sometimes the discussion gets heated enough that we spin out an email thread into it’s own Google Hangout Round Table. Learn, teach, and argue with peers you never knew were so close by!
And we’re still not finished. SH-Members also get access to great discounts. We offered members deals on attending the post-TED conference known as BIL, as well as an early look at the discount we offered everyone to attend this weekend’s Personalized Life-Extension Conference in South San Francisco.
Still not convinced? Every week, I’ll be posting here some of the best offers, interviews, and events that Singularity Hub Membership provides. If you’re already a member, it’s a great way to keep track of SH-stuff you want to do. If you’re not already a member, it’s a great reminder of what you’re missing.
Singularity Hub will always be here to provide you with the best science and tech content on the web, but don’t you think it’s time to check out how the other half lives?
