The Singularity Hub Membership Program continues to grow strong with more Hubbers joining every day to become part of the thriving community of global enthusiasts excited about the future. New members are finding a welcoming group ready to discuss topics ranging from virtual reality to climate change as well as share their own projects and startups.

Over the course of the last few months, SH members have had exclusive access to a special video series in Video Central: fireside chats from Singularity University’s 2013 Graduate Studies Program. The GSP is the premiere program at SU in which 80 participants from around the world are engaged 24/7 in a intellectually grueling 10-week program.

It’s been a wild ride so far with many incredible speakers infusing participants with the knowledge they need to tackle the global grand challenges we face today. Forward-thinking speakers like Peter Diamandis, co-founder of SU and CEO of the X-Prize Foundation, Googler Sebastian Thrun, who is also CEO of Udacity, and creator of Second Life Philip Rosedale have all taken the stage to share their perspectives on the future and the emergent technology trends shaping the wold of tomorrow.

Additionally, Singularity Hub members have access to the full video of the GSP13 Opening Ceremonies. In case you missed it, here’s the shortened version:

This fireside chat video series offers a unique format and access to top-end speakers that can’t be found anywhere else.

Synthetic biology ,will play a huge role in health care in another quarter of century…
Sometime in the future the surgery for appendicitis ,is as simple as getting an injection of specialized bacteria to the site ,that will eat the tagged cells from certain part of the body (including tumors)and will plug the bleeding…in the case of appendicitis, it will eat
from inside out , leaving no infection and will dissolve the tissue on the site ,plug the bleeding , and the patient dont even have to face the huge medical bill associated with the hospital care !
