Darlene Damm and Nicholas Haan

Darlene Damm is principal faculty for Global Grand Challenges with Singularity University where she works on how exponential technologies can solve the world’s most urgent social problems. Much of her recent work focuses on helping schools and companies understand the skills humans will need in a world of accelerating change, robotics, artificial intelligence and augmented and virtual reality.

Nicholas Haan is faculty chair of Global Grand Challenges and managing director of the Global Solutions Program at Singularity University (SU). He has worked at the intersection of science, technology, social challenges, and innovation for the last 25 years. His issues of focus have included disaster relief, food security, environment, energy, public health, education, genetics, and information systems. And his affiliations have included the United Nations, governments, universities, donor agencies and non-governmental organizations.
