Singularity University recently released a highlight video of its recently completed 9 week summer session. The video represents just a tiny sliver of the hundreds of lectures, activities, workshops, and more that occurred during the 9 weeks, but is still pretty neat. Check out the video after the break.
Included in the video is footage of the NASA vertical flight simulator, Vint Cerf and Dan Barry, a visit to Willow Garage, a zero G flight, a lego robotics workshop, and more. The unique music for this video was custom made for Singularity University by composer Philip Sheppard. One of the best things about Singularity University should be its open access policy: this video is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the footage that will be released in the coming months. Lectures, workshops, and several other promo videos are set to be released, as well as a full scale documentary at some point.
As we highlighted earlier, Singularity University has established itself as perhaps the world’s leading institution for interdisciplinary collaboration around accelerating technologies. The future for Singularity University looks bright and exciting, and we will continue to follow its progress here at the Hub. Executive sessions at Singularity University will be running every month starting this November, and applications are already being accepted for next years much larger summer session class of 100+ students. Applications have been pouring in and the competition is tough to get into the University’s coveted programs.
