I have worked with integrative neurophysiology since 1991. Starting out as an experimentalist, over the last decade, I have spent a lot of time in cross-disciplinary collaborations, including leading European humanoid robotics labs, psychophysicists and theoretical physicists, which have greatly facilitated the realization of the fundamental problems that the brain must solve in order to work. This, in turn, has led to major theoretical and practical advances in deciphering the inner workings of the brain, which traditional neurophysiology alone could never have solved.
