Howard Wiseman
Professor Howard Wiseman obtained an honors degree in physics and a PhD in quantum measurement and feedback theory at the University of Queensland. He subsequently wrote the first comprehensive text on the subject, with his advisor Gerard Milburn, published by Cambridge University Press.
As a postdoc at the University of Auckland he established adaptive quantum measurements as a vital research field. Since returning to Australia, his most influential work in new fields has been on quantum steering / the Einstein-Podolosky-Rosen paradox, weak measurements, experimental metaphysics, and quantum limits to coherence.
He has been at Griffith University since 1999 and was director of the Center for Quantum Dynamics there from 2007 to 2025. As of 2026, he has over 264 refereed journal papers.
In addition to his work in quantum physics, he has an "academic minor" in Arthurian studies, in which he has several peer-reviewed papers and a self-published a book of quasihistory entitled Then Arthur Fought. https://howardwiseman.me/ThenArthurFought.html
