Roi Cohen Kadosh
Roi Cohen Kadosh is head of the School of Psychology and professor of cognitive neuroscience at the University of Surrey. His research explores the biological foundations of learning, focusing on how neurotechnology and neurobiology influence cognition in both children and adults. He has made significant contributions to our understanding of how natural differences in brain function—particularly in the balance of neural excitation and inhibition—shape learning and how these processes can be modulated to improve educational outcomes.
Cohen Kadosh has pioneered personalized, brain-based interventions such as tRNS to enhance attention and learning in typical and atypical development. His interdisciplinary work bridges neuroscience, psychology, education, and emerging technologies, aiming to develop scalable tools that act directly on the brain to support learning. He is also the founder of Cognite Neurotechnology Ltd, a University of Surrey spin-in company, which develops AI-driven, home-based neurotechnology solutions.
