The deadline to apply for the 2013 Graduate Studies Program (GSP) at Singularity University is fast approaching. If you're an entrepreneurial innovator, disruptive technophile, or aspiring futurist, be sure to fill out an application here by next Thursday, January 31.

Singularity University (SU) is seeking out extraordinary female and male candidates passionate about impacting the lives of a billion people in the next decade by capitalizing on emergent and accelerating technologies. Participants will spend 10 weeks (June 15 - August 25) at the SU campus at NASA Research Park in the heart of Silicon Valley. During their stay, students will experience a unique and intense educational marathon as some of the greatest minds in the world of technology infuse their knowledge through nearly 400 hours of immersive activities and lectures.

Last year, over 3,000 applications were received from across the world as stellar candidates sought one of the 80 spots available. And the students did not disappoint. Representing 36 nations, the women and men of the GSP12 class offered 21 proposals at the closing ceremony toward tackling the global grand challenges that are vital for future health and prosperity of all. The proposals from the interdisciplinary teams included a medical tricorder glove and a way to bring low-cost Internet access to the world, to name a few of the excellent innovations.

To get just a taste of what the GSP experience is like, check out this short video from last year's Closing Ceremonies:
