I am a linguistic anthropologist of education who has studied issues related to language, identity, youth culture, and education among professional baseball players, Latinx high school students, migrant undergraduates in Arizona, transfronterizo (border-crossing) university students in South Texas, and others. My public scholarship has appeared in a variety of outlets including Sapiens, Spark, Transformations, and Diverse: Issues in Higher Education.
