Russell D.C. Bicknell is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of New England, Australia. Prior to this position he was a PhD student at the University of New England and moved to Australia from New Zealand to pursue his passion for invertebrate paleontology and uncovering patterns within the fossil record. While interested in an array of paleontological topics, he has dedicated a large portion of his research thus far to horseshoe crabs and related chelicerate groups. He is particularly motivated to combine traditional systematic paleontology with geometric morphometric analyses; an approach that often highlights interesting evolutionary stories.
