Current PhD candidate in the group of Prof. Federico Capasso at Harvard University. Focus on nanotechnologies, particularly in optics, where we aim to replace conventional lenses (e.g. in cellphones, cameras, even microscopes and endoscopes) with their nanoscale counterparts, which can be fabricated en-masse using the same foundries that manufacture computer chips. This would mean tremendous savings in eventual device size, cost and improved functionality.
